Jal Shakti Demo Project launched on Saturday August 17, 2024 at "Parivarthane", Erin Foundation, Anekal, in the presence of Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Manjunath K and Environmentalist Alyia Phelps Gardiner Krumbiegel, great grand-daughter of legendry gardner Gustav Hermann Krumbigel.

On the occassion, an undisturbed forest-like portion was dedicated to the memory of Dr Gustav Hermann Krumbiegel- Krumbiegel Micro Forest.

Harvested Rain Water fed into borewells/ percolating into borewell, is one of the five components of Jal Shakti. In addition to the five components of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan, we have added a sixth componenent- prevention of water evaporation by "Drop Irrigation". Prajit Dev of Pristine Harvest explained this system, where in water is channelised through pipes placed underground and water drops are fed directly to roots.

Participants at the launch included Prof H S Bhatia (ex-DRDO), Educationist and Historian Tanam Kumaraswamy of Vidhata Schools, Dr Chaitanya Sridhar and her colleagues Supriya Das and Priyanka Prabhakar all from AANE, Innovator and Industrialist Prabhudev Prakash, CSR exponent Reginald Jacob of Alliance University, Sadashiv of AWAKE, Environmental Engineer Prajit Dev, Engineer Anguswamy from Vinova Energy and Kavitha and her wards- children from Subash free school for Learning from Anekal. Lokesh who was responsible for civil works was also present.
